Hello world. Yes, I'm back and have a very massaged, scrubbed and detoxed body - only to have a wine last night of course. But it had to be done. Anyway, Bali was absolutely fabulous and Ubud just dreamy. I did mix business with pleasure though I have to say - Ni-Night's new range of raw teak furniture will be arriving soon with some very oh so funky coloured mirrors. Yum!

We have our feng shui talk at the shop this Friday. If you haven't RSVPd yet - don't forget to. This Friday, 28 October at 10am at Ni-Night.

Christmas has arrived at Ni-Night. We have our wrapping paper, cards, ribbon and decorations up. A little too early you say - never! Santa is so unbelievably busy up in the North Pole that we had to support him down here in the tropics with a bit of cheer.

We have finally photographed our fabulous rice bags from Cambodia. Made from recycled rice bag material and available in 3 sizes. They are great gifts. I will upload some photos when I have the disc in my hand!

Also our new 7 drawer chest of drawers, vanity table / writing desk and cupboard have arrived. All of the items are being photographed this weekend and photos will be uploaded to the website soon.

It looks like it is about to rain again! The wet season has started... Atleast it is slightly cooler. I had better fly.

Hello! Yes, I am back and earlier than possibly expected. I keep receiving the 'you haven't updated your blog' comment which I am always flabbergasted by as who really reads it? Anyway, obviously someone does!

I am off to Bali on Sunday. Totally decadent I know but I am actually officially there 'on business'. I have a new supplier down there making some very beautiful natural teak beds for me. They are one off designs so should be so much fun! I am also on the look out - as always - for fabulous fabrics so keep your eye on this spot for news on that.

My lovely husband Tom is in Vietnam today and tomorrow QCing our next container for Ni-Night. It has all new products on it - a 7 drawer chest of drawers, wardrobe and vanity / writing desk with small chair. It should all be so much fun. We hope to have it in the shop by mid October and photographed for the website before you know it.

I am also introducing some new products next week. Gorgeous, yummy Pip crockery. Can you begin to imagine how exciting this is? I will add some photos next week - together with the oil cloth that is coming. Its great!

Anyway, I had better fly. Julian from Chocolate Kaki just brought in a plate full of chocolates for my morning tea - I didn't even get the kettle on and they are almost all gone. Thank goodness I am in Ubud detoxing next week. Sigh...

I'm back - 17 September 2011

Yes, I'm back. After spending one month inundated by the Cambodia donation drive - the last items have finally be trucked out to the warehouse. There is still loads of packing to do at the warehouse but thanks to our wonderful volunteers that arrived each Tuesday and Friday at the Canadian International School and at Ni-Night each week - we are done! Thank you to everyone that helped.

Ni-Night has loads of new items in the shop at the moment. Our Golly Gosh pillows are walking out the door and, of course, the Rice products are loved by everyone. We have some new quilts and accessories arriving soon and some original designs of furniture - all one offs. It has been a busy year!

I am off to Bali next month. Yes, just the word Bali brings sun, food and sea to mind. I will however be 'working' for a few days and am then off to Ubud with a friend for a detox. Can you imagine anything so decadent? I am a tad excited to kick off some healthy living after the chocolate lifestyle I have been leading of late.

Speaking of chocolate, I am having a chocolate making demonstration in the shop next month. Not only do I have a chocolate shop next door to Ni-Night but they are demonstrating how to make it in my shop! Its very exciting indeed. I will send more details soon.

Before you know it, it is going to be Christmas. What is everyone up to? We are heading into the monsoon season up here so the gorgeous islands that we love to visit will be closed for the season. Not a great thought - maybe it might be time to just stop though. I love Christmas and just being at home making decorations and listening to carols is my idea of the month of December. My order of gorgeous decorations for Ni-Night arrive soon - oh my goodness - they are fabulous!

Anyhow, I had better fly. I just had the misfortune of falling off a piece of furniture in the shop and need to finish the mop up! See you soon and have a wonderful weekend! Majella

OK, I have to be the slackest blogger that ever existed but, I am new at it.

I am happy to say that I am back in sunny Singapore after 3 weeks spent in Australia. The change of weather in Sydney was absolutely fabulous after the constant heat in Singapore however, back to the grind I must go.

This weekend sees myself, my family and some friends heading to Cambodia for our annual housebuilding trip. This year will be our 10th year of building houses. We support the Tabitha Foudnation up there together with a numbe of orphanages, Sunrise Childrens Village and RiverKids. You should check these places out - they are great.

Speaking of Cambodia, our annual donation drive starts in August. More details to come - but start cleaning out those cupboards for items that you don't need!

Our new shophouse at 7 Joo Chiat Place is going really well. We have loads of new stock coming in all of the time. Georgie Ohlsson has added her gorgeous collection of jewellery and our new card collection from Billcard Designs are just gorgeous! Drop by to visit, we are open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm.

OK, I'm back. Louise, a customer that just dropped by the shop has given me the confidence to do this. It all seems a bit strange just writing down my thoughts - who is going to read them? Anyway, everyone is doing it. So, thank you Louise - have a look at http://brunchandco.blogspot.com to find out about her very exciting brunches that she hosts.

This coming week is looking like a shocker. The Expat Living talk has swelled to 55 people this week so we have split it over two days. Julian and Michelle from Chocolate Kaki are providing yummy cakes and Chili Padi restaurant down the road are doing the refreshments. Thankfully Jas and I won't have to do any washing up. Living in Singapore for 10 years does that to you...

The SCC Singapore Sixes starts this week and we have two children from an orphanage in Cambodia arriving on Thursday night to stay with us for a few days. Thankfully a few friends from good old Facebook have also agreed to house some kids so it should be fun.

So, next week is busy, plus our good friends Mark and Amanda and their kids will be staying with us as they are packing up their house and moving back to Oz. Crazy I know but winter awaits in Sydney and 3 weeks of not much happening is in the future!
